Even though I had mentioned it just over a week ago with Through Alternative Prisms, I forgot that today marked the beginning of my 12th year as a blogger.
That was until the bots at WP sent me a congratulatory note.
I have always blogged to amuse myself, plain and simple. If others find enjoyment in sharing my amusement, all the better. There are numerous relationships that have grown from this hobby and I can’t imagine my current life without them. Every day I learn something new because of my blogging journey.
Thanks to Doug J Fine, over at Eclecticity Light for getting me started. Doug, a friend and former neighbor in real life is the one that put the bug in my ear. After that, there are just too many people to acknowledge.

I don’t pay much attention to stats these days as I don’t believe them. There are some days that I have more views noted on just Linkedin that WP says I have all together. The blog is posted to my FB, Twitter, Tumbler and Linkedin accounts. WP tells me that supposedly the old blog, which I stopped posting to in 2018 is still getting between 35-40 visits/day,
Thank you to all the readers who visit, read and comment. I enjoy our interactions. I have no plans on stopping, but someday, if I don’t have the chance to say goodbye, one of my daughters has the log in and she will say it for me.
The first substantive post on A Simple, Village Undertaker came just a few days after I started and is appropriately named How it all began.
