Innocent Simplicity

One of the joys of my childhood was the predictability of certain things . . . Sunday dinners at my grandparents house,  going “down the shore” during the Summer and  A Charlie Brown Christmas on TV in December.

Over the years, I learned the music of the show was performed by the Vince Guaraldi Trio and was fortunate to have a CD of the album for many years, but can’t seem to find it (not that I have a CD player any longer).

Christmas isn’t Christmas without focusing on the birth of Jesus, but there is something about this music that causes me to stop and ponder that sacred nature of this season. The innocent simplicity of the show and music is something we should all expose ourselves to every now and then.

It can’t hurt.
