Yes, I’m Almost That Old

I’ve reached the age where artists I’ve never heard of are covering songs of other artists I’ve never heard of.

Additionally, when I hear award shows being reported on the radio news,  rarely do I recognize the name of a movie, band or actor.

No regrets and my life is getting simpler every day.  Below is a cartoon of me in just a few years and my story will start with talking about music.

About Ray V.

Living between Aiken & Charleston,, South Carolina, USA, I like to share what I am looking at, thinking about or listening to. I refer to this as the view out my window. Thanks for stopping by.

When I taught elementary school, I always wrote my students a letter telling them about myself on the first day of school. Their homework was to write me back that night and do the same. I also told them they could ask in their letters if they had any questions they wanted to know about me. The most frequent question was, “How old are you?” When I told them, one of the kids looked at me with incredulous eyes and said, “You’re even older than my grandpa.” It was a hilarious moment.

Thank you for a really good chuckle, Ray. I’m a couple of years older than you are. I get it!

  5. Love that cartoon Ray! When you get to be the grandpa in the cartoon I sure hope someone is doing a video of it.
