I’ve Grown Weary. Peace Out.

Around the age of 30, I started on my path towards becoming a political junkie and ultimately a political addict. It was thirty years ago is when I canceled my subscription to  The Village Voice and replaced it with The Limbaugh Letter.

I admit my addiction and that I have become powerless to control my online life which has become unmanageable.*

Truth has become relative and any intellectual disagreement is often labeled as hate and/or some type of phobia.

I’ve grown weary of the hate.  It is time for me  to go “Cold turkey.”

There are lots of things I can say as I consider taking one, last hit of my drug, but will hold my tongue.

I am done and I ask for you all to be my accountability partners and call me out if I stumble on this path of online, political sobriety.

Be careful what you wish for America.  You just might get it.

Peace Out.

*Please know I am not making fun of the first step as it has been part of my life for close to  17 years.

I find it much easier to go through life without the constant back and forth between political viewpoints. It feels like a giant waste of time because we’re not going to change anyone’s mind. Our country is founded on principles of freedom, so why should we try to convince others that we know better than them? I’ve got plenty of liberal, moderate, and conservative friends, but whatever side of the political fence they are on doesn’t matter to me.

Thank you. I’m just tired of using too much time to engage people who hate President Trump more than they love their freedom. The disinfectant fiasco broke the camels back. Then, the President, after asking an intelligent, informed question back tracked with his unnecessary, “Sarcastic” response. I had a UV sterilizer on my fish tanks 20 years ago and respiratory therapists inject all sorts of medical agents into lungs and chelation cleans the blood, but somehow the haters come away with the President suggested drinking Lysol. The country is going to get what they deserve and I’m going to get an hour or two of more feee time every day. I’ll still be online, just biting my tongue to bloody shreds on politics 🇺🇸

we have different views politically, but I have always enjoyed reading what you have had to say, as it has helped me better understand points of view that are different than mine. Feel free to email me when you feel tempted to post something on line…

I took a decision to sit in my hands and not remark on political statements on line a little while ago. I just got so tired of the inability of the masses to debate. I know what I think and I know what I feel and I take my time to reach conclusions and that’s that. I just got so tired of being ripped into if I said anything that others disagree with. So I sit on my hands and I zip my mouth. I’m mostly successful 😉
