Sunday Pipes #65

I decided on something a little different for today.

A short, yet interesting and entertaining news report about the very special Casavant organ at the Lewis & Clark Colleges’s Agnes Flanagan Chapel.

What caught my ear was the two female  on-air teleprompter readers, (formerly known as reporters) made reference to the organ using  “her” & “she” pronouns.  I’ve always knew it as the King of Instruments and in as much as I have been a pipe organ afficianado for just over 40 years now, I do not think I have ever heard a female reference.

Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised since the organ is on the West Coast?

My eldest attended Lewis& Clark. I’ve been in the chapel and heard the organ. It’s a gem.
