I have never been all that much of a Led Zeppelin fan, but still managed to accumulate most of their records, 8-tracks, cassettes and Cds over the decades,
The other evening, while settling in to do some homework, I began looking for something a little different from my normal Buxtehude sonatas and harpsichord works. I needed something to be enjoyed at a somewhat higher volume. Very somewhat higher.
As I scrolled through my aging, yet trusty ipod, I found what I needed. Physical Graffiti. From start to finish, just under and hour and a half of music. . . just like it was meant to be listened to and enjoyed.
The way many of us listened to our records back in the day, reading the liner notes again and again. Joyous.
There are so many flavors, colors and textures in these 15 songs that it is difficult to believe they all came from one band.
If you’ve forgotten…. take a listen. Not a bad song in the lot… including my personal favorite LZ song, The Rover.
PS… Grammar Nazis please forgive me on this one. I have sinned.
