Imagine That?

Reading this. I knew it had to be shared.

“On July 17, 1967, after seven concert dates, Jimi Hendrix quit as the opening act for The Monkees following a concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY”.

While Michael, Davey, Peter and Mickey admired the guitar virtuoso, inviting him to tour with them,  their teenybopper fans, well just didn’t get it and were not pleased.

And people were surprised?

What were they thinking?    Here is the back story, according to Mickey Dolenz.

Hendrix and The Monkees?   Its like a tuna and jelly sandwich or putting Ranch dressing on anything.

You can put them together, but why?
