Today, November 29th is the First Sunday in Advent. . . the day when Christians around the world begin preparations for Christmas Day and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Every year since I was a child, I recall hearing O Come, O Come Emanuel during Advent.
Since it has been nine months since Sunday Pipes#43, I thought it would be appropriate to combine the two. In researching the organist, I learned Timothy, a self-taught musician, died in 2017.
Here is the late Timothy Coriddi playing an Allen 632-D organ
May his memory be eternal and let us prepare for the real meaning of Christmas.
Thanks for this – one of my favorite hymns.
