It wasn’t that long ago that 100mb Zip Drives were considered “power storage.”
It was before I made the switch from IBM to Mac.
Every once in a while, I plug them in and look for some nugget from yesteryear.
Considering all the things I have lost or discarded over the years, it is a minor miracle that I still have these, but you never know when I might need old data.
Anyone else use these?… still have yours?

Zip drives and my external reader.
I have a box in the basement full of those. Why? My wife says I have a great reluctance to throw anything away.

They make good coasters to protect your desk from hot/cold/ cups 😊

For me things moved so fast that I skipped from 5-1/4″ floppy disks to flash drives.

I had a bunch of those at one time. Then I had a bunch of USB drives. Then everything moved to the cloud and skynet took over.
