A Different Song

I have heard multiple reports today regarding the death of musical legend, Charlie Daniels,

Daniels died today at the age of 83 after apparently experiencing a stroke.

Each mention of his name today included a reference to the song The Devil Went Down to Georgia, arguably his biggest hit in a catalogue of great work.  I’m surprised no one has made the connection I have with a different song.  Maybe I shouldn’t be.

Just the other day, I was thinking about blogging this song since it should resonate with many during these troubling times. It is just as relevant today as when it was released forty years ago.

Rest in Peace, Charlie. You will be remembered as a great musician and a great patriot.

In America.

Take a few, brief minutes and listen to the words and how they can be applied to today.
