A Decade Of Unconditional Love

Big Red and Mackenzie, aka “The Twins” are ten years old today.

We first saw them a few days after they were born and its probably safe to say that they haven’t been apart for more than a few hours their entire lives.  They are spoiled and more than one observer has mentioned that if reincarnation is real, they want to come back as one of our dogs.

The story starts on my old blog, Sunday Night, Dog Night.

Baby “Big Red”

Baby Mackenzie

There are numerous stories over the years. The most recent one being last weekend when our daughter and family visited and when they opened the trunk of their car to pack up some baby stuff and  the twins jumped in.

A spontaneous act of Joy by the twins

Red (top) and Mackenzie. Waiting for the door to close and the windows to open so they can drool on the outside of the car. (6/6/20)

As a big dog lover, this is so great! My dogs never miss any opportunity to get a ride somewhere. When the UPS driver shows up, they quickly climb in the truck with the driver, wagging their tails furiously. The best part is when he throws them a dog treat to get them out of the cab and peals out.
