Below is an animated graphic that shows the growth of world-wide fast food outlets between 1971 and 2019.
What fast food has the most locations in the world? Think about it as the graphic plays out.
I was surprised by who is #1
Thank to to Carla for sending this to me
That was fascinating! I never would have thought Subway surpassed McD’s!

That is interesting. I’ve noticed that there seems to be a subway everywhere these days.

I was shocked by the relatively small number of Wendy’s.

Wendy’s has lost a couple of stores in my area. so has BurgerKing, but Subway just explodes – even though I never really see them with that many customers inside.

What a fascinating way to view the shifts. That was way more fun than a standard graph. #1 surprised me, too. I thought for sure it would be McDonald’s.

Never doubted that it would be subway. Many more healthy choices. Small town of Auburn has 3, while only 1 McDonalds..

I think there are 4 subways here in less than a 5 mile radius. Only 2 McD’s. Interesting.

I knew that Subway had the most in the U.S.; I’m surprised they also have the most in the world. And that graph was mesmerizing; I was disappointed when it stopped…

That was fun. I wouldn’t have guessed Subway. We never go to McDonalds, but here in Canada our preferred breakfast sandwich place is Tim Horton’s! When we commute between Alberta and Arizona, we choose Subway for lunch because we can stuff the sandwich with veggies!

Love Tim Horton’s coffee. Our son in law goes to Montreal a good bit and always brings a bag back for me. I can probably dig around your blog and find it, but please send your email address to me or DM me on FB Email is rvisotski@gmail.com
