Perhaps A Bit Of Show Boating?

All this isolation is making me crazy.

I’ve pretty much given up on watching TV, aside from a few minutes in the afternoon to catch some news.

Amazon Prime delivered a book today that I’ve been thinking about for a few months now and more on that tomorrow.

Spending too much time on FB, arguing politics, which rarely gets anything accomplished and “I stand guilty as charged your honor.”

I was out in the garage a few minutes ago, vacuuming my car for the third time this week and received a text from our daughter in Texas, containing a link to a video.

Here it is, along with a related video.  Everyone has to make the best of these times.

Thanks Megan.

And. . .

My wife and I are retired and we live in what I call the semi-country (now that construction has started on a 650 house development down the road, that will change). And, really, what is normal for us this time of year hasn’t changed. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the flower beds and the “estate” grounds. We don’t normally run the roads. The biggest thing for me has been cancelling the annual fly fishing trip to Bryson City, NC and not going to Atlanta and Memphis to see the grand kids. Bored? no. Last weekend I bought some boards from a young man who is remodeling his 1925 house. I’ve been spending time removing nails and generally cleaning them up in preparation for building something. And, have you taken a look at The Great Courses? Right now I’m going through a course on St. Augustine’s City of God. A lot of courses for all areas of interest. Life goes on. Take advantage.

Getting caught up on some non-work related reading. More things to do than I have time for an was simply taking some literary license on the post. Thanks for your comments

  4. Me too. I just wrote a blog about the same think. Made myself go downstairs and start sponge painting a wall and was wonderful! A real project!
