TBT, Two Earaches

Remember when we were young and didn’t want to go to school?  I think the #1 excuse to stay home may have been “I have an earache.”

Two stories:

“This morning, my son said his ear hurt and I said on the inside or on the outside? So he walks out the front door, comes back in and says both. Moments like this got me wondering if I’m saving too much for college”

Then, throwing it way back to that Cheech and Chong Classic… Earache, My Eye.  (This actually played on the radio, was a hit and it was considered very cool to memorize the words to the skit.

Can you imagine that happening today?

Me Neither.

Note: To skip the music in the skit, begin listening at the 3:00 minute mark

I used to own a cassette with this track on it. I’m a retired elementary school teacher, and I recently blogged about some of my former students’ excuses for not doing their homework. https://petespringerauthor.wordpress.com/2020/01/14/more-funny-school-moments/

My granddaughter recently had a severe ear infection that has left her deaf (at least for now) in one ear.

one of my all-time favorite Cheech and Chong skits. As I was listening, a lot of the words were coming back to me…
