Just Try This

On Sunday, I went with my mother to the church I grew up in. She and dad were very active in the parish over the years and their contributions are too many to note.

My Cardinal photo…random, but not.

Aside from going to the early, 8am Mass (we drove 16 hours the day before, getting in around 10pm), it is always nice to go back as I get to see people who were part of the first part of my life.

There was a visiting priest assisting this weekend and as it was the First Sunday in Advent, his homily focused on preparing for the celebration of the birth of Christ.

The primary message was:

“Be better tomorrow than you were today”

Sounds like a good plan.

Anybody with me?
