Filling In

The soul is healed by being around children . . . Fydor Dostoyevsky

I have come to know that since the “children” are grown and gone, dogs are more than willing to fill that role . . . with exuberance.

Of course, we are awaiting the birth of our first granddaughter in a few weeks and then we start over again.

This is “Lucky”  He is 12 years old and Alicia is doggy sitting him today and tomorrow.  I went over with her this evening as it has been a while since I’ve seen the old boy.  When I used to drive our girls to school, I would see Lucky, as a tiny puppy walking with his human by the school every morning.

Where has the time gone?

Thank you to Fr. Thomas Moore for the quote.
