My Alarm Clock

Woody on the suet block

I like to save money, so instead of replacing a broken an alarm clock,  I’ve adopted this Woodpecker.

I’ve named him “Woody,”  feed him well and count on him to be looking for bugs in the tree outside my bedroom window every morning at 0600.

Am I crazy?

Please don’t answer as it was a rhetorical question.

  1. LOLOL. If he doesn’t wake you some morning is it going to be an excuse kind of like the dog eating the homework?

Sounds like a plan as it beats getting licked by my dog at 6 am.

Get a rooster. They crow out loud consistently in the mornings without the sound of pecking wood . Nowadays, some get Amazon Echo,Alexa and all those other modern devices to help you get up in the mornings.

We have crows, magpies and doves that perform the same function. A Woody would be a problem, because he/she would probably be making holes in our wood siding…
