Did you ever notice that most dogs are “all-in, all the time?”
It seems that whatever they are doing at that particular moment, that is their favorite thing to do, (going to the vets excluded).
This is Selby. She is 12 years old and was rescued in Houston, TX by our daughters. You’ve seen her face before. She lives with Jelly and Cole in the big city, and to me, she is the epitome of “The Happiest Dog in the World”
Below are two photos from this weekend…..going for a ride in the car and taking a nap.
I suppose if you are going to take a Sunday afternoon “40-winkers,” you might as well make a statement. Tell me she isn’t enjoying that nap.
Sometimes, I wish I could be a dog . . . as long as I had a good family. That’s the key.
Selby has it made.
They live in the moment! Dogs are very good teachers. 🙂 Selby is a sweetheart!

Oh my gosh, Selby’s sleeping position is adorable and so is she. She is probably dreaming about the coming of her new best friend “baby creech”.

Priceless, Ray! Selby has clearly landed in clover and she is grateful it’s clear. Give her a scratch for me….

I totally agree. We humans have a lot to learn just watching how dogs live their lives. I wrote an article on my website yesterday titled on that very subject ‘The Art of Living from a Dog’s perspective’ – https://authorjoannereed.net/the-art-of-living-from-a-dogs-perspective/ -Feel free to check it out!
