Upping My Game

Martha with some Baton Rouge powdered sugar

Sunday, I am taking Martha back to Megan, where she belongs. . . in Houston, TX.

I swore I would never do it again, but I lied.

It will be a nice, Sunday drive, all 960miles of it. I’ll have dinner with her and Andrew, get some sleep and will drive back to Aiken on Monday. Depending on timing and traffic, we may stop in Baton Rouge, LA for Beignets at our favorite coffee shop, Coffee Call.

Martha (r.) and Henry. Happy birthday you handsome boy.

On previous trips, I stayed at least a day, but both Megan and I have to work, so as I get older, I’m upping my game and testing my endurance.

Today, I took Martha across town to her friend Henry’s for his first birthday party. They’ve become besties.

See ya on the other side and I’ll be reporting from the road on Instagram at @rayvisotski.

I read Martha’s plea to stay at your house and then read it to my friends and we laughed so hard. I also imagine your dogs are going to miss her.
