Pithy Food Quotes

As we continue our recovery from Thanksgiving and Christmas, let us take some enjoyment from this copious list of food quotes.

Interestingly enough, the list comes from a blog named  Fueled By Chocolate.

An example:

“Calories are little units that measure how good a particular food tastes. Fudge, for example, has a great many calories, whereas celery, which is not really a food but a member of the plywood family provided by mother nature so that we would have a way to get onion dip into our mouths, has none”.
– Dave Barry –

Enjoy this list and let me know if you have any others that I can share.

I hope you are sharing the napping couch with at least one dog. Oh and celery should only used for stirring a Bloody Mary.

Thanks for the link to my Vegetables post. Your celery photo is the best!
Although I’m not a big fan of celery, I discovered I didn’t have any when I made the stuffing for my Christmas Day turkey. I didn’t really miss the celery, though it didn’t seem right to not include it – such are traditions.
