It was around 1994 that I purchased Tom Paxton’s A Childen’s Christmas CD. I still have it today, although it’s uploaded to my iTunes and the jewel case is packed away somewhere. The artwork for my version is very different than what is displayed with the song below.
This was the song the girls (well, just Kelliann & Elissa as Megan wasn’t born yet.) started singing right after Thanksgiving. This was during our years living in the Pocono Mts. of Northeast Pennsylvania, where I worked part-time at a Christmas Tree Farm one year, helping cut and drag trees out of the field.
It is still heard from time to time in our house and for those of you with small children, I recommend the entire album.
What a sweet song! 🙂
