The End Of Another Era

Roy Clark died today at the age of 85.

Back in 2004, we went to Nashville and scored tickets to the Grand Ol’ Opry and Roy Clark performed as part of the show that night.  I finally got to see him live.

I was only 10 or 11 when my father bought me a Roy Clark album which helped foster my love of the guitar.

He was a picker and  had some mighty sweet licks.  He was also an entertainer . . . and a damn good one.

About Ray V.

Living in Aiken, South Carolina, USA, I like to share what I am looking at, thinking about or listening to. I refer to this as the view out my window. Thanks for stopping by.
