For the last week, we have been told to prepare.
We did and now have enough bottled water, peanut butter and canned tuna for the next year.
Fortunately for us, it’s been more bark than bite and not very “epic” at all.
At least so far, but they are calling for a few inches of rain overnight.
Not so much for our northern and eastern counties and a good chunk of North Carolina.
Aside from a gust this morning that blew a full coffee mug off an outdoor table and two of our dogs off the porch, it has been nothing more than a breezy, rain event.
The dogs were a bit perplexed upon getting up after finding themselves in the flower bed and I wish I had thought to catch their expressions.
Color us lucky.
When it rains, it’s time for NETFLIX.
I’m told we are watching seasons 2 & 3 of Lassie.
Am glad that you and your family are safe. My thoughts and prayers to your other neighbors in other counties and especially in North Carolina. Hurricane Florence is lingering around which makes it difficult for everyone!

Poor doggies, I’m happy to hear you’re relatively safe.

Thank you for your concern, but no need to feel sorry for our dogs, they live a charmed life and it was just a little excitement in their day. Looks like the storm is moving away and luckily for us, it was nothing more than a breezy, soaking rain.
