45 Years And One Month Ago

After I stumbled across a news item on We’re An American Band, I couldn’t resist reminding y’all that the album was released just over 45 years ago, in July of 1973. The single followed a few weeks later.

Me (w’ the Mustang), Debra, Mom (on organ)  & Donna… Not exactly an American Band, circa 1973ish

The title track was one of the first songs I recall trying to learn after I got my first, electric guitar, a Fender Mustang.   Might it be said that this was one of the songs that changed the world of rock and roll?  What others may fall into that category?

Pay attention boys and girls this IS what ROCK & ROLL looks like, this IS what ROCK & ROLL sounds like, this IS what ROCK & ROLL SMELLS LIKE AND SHOULD ALWAYS BE!!”... One of many, great comments if you click on the Youtube version, which you will need to do anyway.
