Sunday Pipes #14

A beautiful rendition of Metallica’s  classic  “Nothing Else Matters”  by Dr. Helen Ingram.

I found humor in one of the comments that note the fire extinguisher is there in case the organ catches fire while playing Metallica in church.

It appears from her Twitter feed that Dr. Ingram shares my appreciation for the Peaky Blinders.

  1. I use to do a bit of lay preaching at some of the churches in my area – substituting for pastors on vacation or ill. I was always a bit surprised by the number of pulpits that have fire extinguishers and have speculated on why: Altar candles out of control, content of the sermon …

  2. LOL on the fire extinguisher! We used to say (when they played something a little too lively for our church) “Keep you head low and watch out for the lightening.”
