A photo from 2014. Rumor is that we may see some snow/ice in our part of SC later this week. Perish the thought.
If I were to list things I miss from my year in New England topping it would be the birds and particularly the cardinals …. this is a beautiful reminder and I thank you. As to why …. well maybe we should look to the birds

…and the trees, and the sky.
That is why!
So true … the light is like no-where on earth. And like us all, when we live our lives through in a place, many natives were surprised when I said it but it is, I tell you, it is particular and particularly lovely. And you clearly knows this too. The trees? The trees I was quite overwhelmed by when I first arrived and then I got used to them and then. It was Fall and I fell under a spell that is like no other 🙂
Such a pity if we get so used to something that we fail to be enchanted!

I have a theory that all of us a born with a soul that is a particular age. Mine is 6 so I am constantly enchanted. It has its disadvantages when attempting to be grown up and sensible and managing beastly bankers and litigious lawyers (I jest – ish 😉) but on the whole I would rather have that innocence that never fails to be captivated. I sense you may be a kindred 6-year old … or at most 9 😊

9 is about it. If only I could still climb trees!
I did skipping recently … not elegant 😉
Here is the backstory on the Cardinal. https://villageundertaker.wordpress.com/2015/04/04/my-cardinal/
A wonderful story …. Ray the Cardinal and his kith and kin are all SO beautiful 🙂
Love that quote! And I love the photo also. Those cardinals are beautiful and I am waiting to see them by us. They usually show up in the winter so it should be soon.
I love this quote Ray!
