Ingredient For Happiness

IMG_3445I received a special gift for Christmas. One that was simple, yet well thought out.  (OK, I received a few, well thought out gifts, but am focusing on just one now).

I love ginger in all it’s forms and Elissa found a bottle of ginger syrup for her dad.

This is what the lable says:

“I’m so much more than a pancake syrup. Drizzle me over ice cream, baked chicken, roasted carrotts, a warm bed of oatmeal or marry me to Greek-style yogurt with a little granola and a few nuts. I love being warmed up and poured over chocolate cake and apple pie. Or add me to your cocktails for the happiest hour!”

I think we start with the oatmeal in the morning.

A ginger fan, eh? Have you ever tried Stone’s Ginger Wine? I’ve been able to find it at BevMo. A little trivia – It’s a key ingredient in a traditional Scottish warming drink called a Whiskey Mac.
