The Loveliest Tree In The Valley

IMG_3285Many years ago we began the  tradition of  playing  this song when getting and/or decorating our tree.

I wonder if the girls ever think about it when they are decorating their trees?

When we lived in the Pocono’s back in the early 1990’s, we would go down the road and cut our own tree.   I even worked part-time at that tree farm one year.

Precious memories.

Well, here’s to those days.   Oh, to go back for just a few hours.

  1. We didn’t have a song for Christmas tree getting but we did have one for heading off for vacation…..”North to Alaska” by Johnny Horton. Never did make it to Alaska but our sons still play this when they head for Colorado to go mountain climbing.
